Ultra provides a range of hand-held command, control, communications and computer (C4) systems for the dismounted soldier. Ultra’s propane-powered fuel cells are small enough to replace large amounts of batteries carried by the warfighter on operations. Ultra’s mGO portable oxygen generator is capable of providing medical grade oxygen at the point of need to support battlefield casualties, eliminating the need for cumbersome cylinder-based alternatives.

Ultra’s range of innovative hand-held and portable command, control, communications and computer (C4) systems supports the increasingly-networked, dismounted soldier.

Ultra’s FMCU™ (freedom of movement control unit) has become the preferred hand-held control system for the US Army and Marines, with deployment on platforms including Fire Scout, Gladiator and GBOSS. With its modular LCD, the FMCU provides the versatility many platforms demand and offers a solution to the problems and complaints associated with heads-up displays. Other solutions which can form a key part of any soldier system modernisation programme include: the tactical edge controller, which is a tablet-form unit optimised for military use; and the compact soldier control unit which is a ruggedised, networked unit with a user-friendly interface.

Ultra’s fuel cells are small enough to replace large amounts of batteries carried by the warfighter on operations. Whether used to power unmanned systems, remote sensors or to provide portable power to soldiers, Ultra’s fuel cells are currently changing how soldiers power mission-critical systems.

Ultra’s ROAMIO family of fuel cells is powered by globally available propane. The cells deliver lightweight, portable power in the most austere, remote and dangerous locations. Ultra’s fuel cells extend the functionality and reliability of remote applications.
