The products and related technical data (i.e., drawings, test data, detailed technical descriptions, etc.) that Ultra Electronics DNE Technologies provides are considered “defense articles” in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for export purposes. These regulations are administered by the U.S. State Department and require an approved export license whenever DNE products or controlled technical data are exported from the U.S. or transferred or disclosed to a foreign person or foreign entity either in the U.S. or in a foreign country.
In accordance with State Department regulations, any individual or company that manufactures or exports “defense articles” must register with State Department. If you are not registered with State Department and will be reselling DNE’s products or technical data for export, DNE can apply for the appropriate licensing. At the time of order, DNE will request either your U.S. Government Contract number or confirm that you will be applying for a State Department license. A copy of your license will be required prior to shipment of the equipment.
If DNE will be applying for licensing, we will need to know:
The ultimate end user and their complete address
The purpose for the equipment and/or technical data. What is the program name?
Where and how will the equipment be physically moved within your foreign location?
Names and addresses of all those who will have access to or will observe the equipment
Will the equipment be hand carried between locations? If so, by whom?
Are there additional intermediate consignees or shipping agents?
Specific additional information may be requested prior to any equipment demonstrations or order acceptance.
