The special networking equipment economizes bandwidth and extends the drive distances of tactical communication devices, supporting the transition to IP networking in areas where bandwidth-intense network traffic is restricted by a single satellite or leased circuit.

Originally founded as Seaboard Electronics in 1951, the company eventually became known as Dataproducts New England (DNE).  As DNE, it became part of Ultra Electronics, Ltd. in 2004.  And in a 2014 restructuring, DNE, along with Ultra MSI, joined Ultra EMS to form a larger organization having many more resources and capabilities.    Today Ultra Electronics DNE Technologies is co-located with Ultra MSI in a 45000 square foot facility in Wallingford, Connecticut with manufacturing and product development facilities.
