Focused on providing our tactical data link capability on airborne platforms world-wide.  Grown from the US Navy P-3 program, now supporting Triton MQ-4C, Firescout MQ-8C, P-8A and international coalition partners.  Our users take advantage from a common software baseline across all deployments, cost sharing and commonality, that has a pedigree of numerous certifications with the US Navy and joint assessing authorities.  Ultra's airborne product offering ranges from software only, software for legacy hardware to software within airborne qualified multi-form hardware.

Advanced Tactical Airborne System (ATAS)

ATAS includes the maturity and adaptability of Ultra’s certified tactical data link gateway software only distribution, coupled with a flight-qualified COTS enclosure, or coupled with existing platform equipment. The ATAS interfaces to the most common MIDS, JTIDS, JTRS, SATCOM, and small form factor airborne-capable Link 16 terminals for MIL-STD-3011A/C, Satellite TADIL J, MTC, CoT. The ATAS provides interfaces for Link 11, VMF, CMF, SADL connectivity with coalition forces.

Rosetta Echo Advanced Payloads (REAP)

Designed for quick integration onto airborne payloads or wing stations via the REAP Pod, REAP provides full spectrum communication range extension, voice repeater and relay functions. Certified to TRL level 8 by the US Air Force, Ultra has provided advanced communication payloads for over 10 years.  The latest version of REAP includes Link 16 integration providing Low-Latency Tactical Data Link information to the warfighter in the air and on the ground allowing time sensitive targeting information to be easily transferred from the JTAC to designated attack aircraft.

  • Enhanced communications to cooperate with state, local and federal agencies
Integrates MANET, Civilian P-25 and military radios for seamless relay and bridging
  • ADS-B
Transmits aircraft position without impact to the existing onboard IFF transceivers
  • Link 16
Transmits ownship J2.2 direct PPLI on LOS Link 16 allowing all network participants real-time situational awareness of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA)
Transmits J12.6 Target Sorting on the “Fighter to Fighter” NPG with decreased latency allowing time sensitive targeting
  • Roadmap for future capabilities include 4G LTE, military software defined radios, next generation navigation systems and advanced sensors
US Navy Minotaur

Ultra delivers a certified (Navy, Joint) tactical data link capability for the US Navy Minotaur Mission Management System (Minotaur) that provides ISR platforms with a superior Situational Awareness tool that aggregates, sorts, and fuses organic and inorganic data for a coherent track entity picture and management functions across all units enabling kill web action via sensor tasking and processing.

Ultra provides the operational “tell” of data that goes offboard to the network for dissemination to the group, applies all of the MIL-STD business logic, provides a  tactical data link solution that is agnostic to the platform hardware, and provides the common message set for all existing and future Minotaur platforms.

  • Integrates Ultra provided well-defined host interface for dissemination of operator "tell" entities on external interfaces (Link)
  • Aggregates, sorts and fuses organic and inorganic data providing coherent track picture and management functions across all platforms enabling kill web action
  • Provides sensor tasking and processing
  • Single common software baseline across all deployments (cost sharing and commonality)
