Virtual ADSI supports Exercise TALISMAN SABRE 2019

Supporting Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019 (TS19) in a bilateral combined Australian and United States (US) training activity, the virtual Air Defense Systems Integrator (vADSI™) was the centerpiece for tactical data link connectivity at Shoalwater Bay Training Area.  Providing both situational awareness and command and control of the battlespace, the vADSI connected US and Australian Defence Forces across multiple Area of Operations (AORs).  Nearly 35,000 military personnel from the US and Australia participated in what will be the biggest ever Talisman Sabre.

This year’s Talisman Sabre is focused on defending the rights, freedoms, and uses of the sea, air, space and cyberspace guaranteed to all nations under international law and considered essential to prosperity, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region.

“Interoperability and working alongside allies and partners really is the future, particularly in the Pacific,” said Rear Admiral Fred Kacher, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 7. The vADSI played a critical role ensuring interoperability between US and ADF Forces during this exercise.
